Plaza de San Antonio

La plaza de San Antonio, también conocida como plazuela de la Mariblanca, es un espacio público de la ciudad española de Aranjuez, en la Comunidad de Madrid.

Se la conoce también como «de la Mariblanca» debido al conjunto escultórico conocido como la fuente de la Mariblanca (cuyo nombre real es la fuente de Venus) que decora el extremo norte de la plaza. A la plaza dan la Casa de Caballeros y Oficios, la iglesia de San Antonio, la Casa de Infantes y el jardín de Isabel II.

Hacia 1752, la plaza tenía otra fuente llamada el fuente del Rey, obra de Juan Domingo Olivieri, con una imagen del rey Fernando VI mirando al puente, pero en 1760 el rey Carlos III, ordenó retirar la estatua, y dos años más tarde se colocó la actual fuente de Venus, obra de Juan Reyna.
Al fondo de la plaza, se encuentra la iglesia del mismo nombre.

Plaza de San Antonio, also known as Plazuela de la Mariblanca, is a public space in the Spanish city of Aranjuez, in the Community of Madrid.

It is also known as "of the Mariblanca" due to the sculptural group known as the source of the Mariblanca (whose real name is the source of Venus) that decorates the north end of the square. To the square they give the House of Knights and Trades, the church of San Antonio, the House of Infants and the garden of Isabel II.

By 1752, the square had another fountain called the King's Fountain, the work of Juan Domingo Olivieri, with an image of King Fernando VI looking at the bridge, but in 1760 King Carlos III ordered the statue removed, and two years later it was placed the current source of Venus, work of Juan Reyna.
At the back of the square, there is the church of the same name.
